fellowship program
Fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative Medicine began in West Michigan in 2009 as a collaborative, community effort to expand the availability of palliative specialists and access to the highest quality end of life care. Multiple hospitals, hospices, and other health care resources worked together to create this program. It is currently under the sponsorship of Mercy Health Grand Rapids Graduate Medical Education Department. Dr. Mulder has served as Program Director since its inception.
We have been exceptionally blessed by the high caliber of fellows that have trained in this program. Here is a list of fellows who have graduated from our program, and their most recent place of service:

The time I spent as a hospice and palliative care fellow was probably the most meaningful year of my career. The fellowship has blessed my life in ways I never thought possible. I am not only a better physician because of it, but I feel that I am a better human. Having this training particularly at Trillium Woods allowed me to answer my true calling.
