Many people are unaware of the positive impact that it can have on those with life-limiting illnesses. At Trillium Institute, we are taking on the responsibility of educating our community and rallying support for the field as a whole.
In addition to encouraging and supporting physicians while they provide essential end-of-life care, we aim to enhance the general public’s knowledge of palliative care and its importance. By educating both communities, we can change the culture of care for life-defining illness.
With this in mind, we continue to expand resources that allow hospice and palliative care patients, their loved ones, and their support networks to understand further the nature of their illness, treatment, and care options. Our goal is to arm everyone with the tools they need to make decisions based on patient and family values, preferences, and wishes.
Trillium Institute offers presentations and discussions for area university learning programs and community groups.
